D’Appolonia technical support to EBRD in Energy Efficiency Investment identification brought the Energy Efficiency Team to work for the first time in Mongolia; APU, a beer and soft drinks producing Company, leader of the Country market, was object of an energy audit carried out in Ulaan Baatar, and a dedicated energy efficiency investment plan was elaborated on the basis of the audit outcomes.

On behalf of EBRD E2C2 team, D’Appolonia carried out an energy performance analysis of the new class-A retail and entertainment centre ‘Aura’, in construction in the Russian city of Novosibirsk. In collaboration with local experts, the D’Appolonia team elaborated a tailored Corporate Policy Guideline to set up adequate standards for Energy Efficiency for the subject type of facilities, and a dedicated training course was addressed to building enterprise technicians.

In the framework of the Safety Engineering activities of the Karachaganak Project in Kazakhstan, D'Appolonia is developing for Tecnomare the Safety Critical Elements and Design/Operational Performance Standards study in the Karachaganak Field, with the aim of align the performance of all KPO Plants currently in operation in the Field by means of a “Gap” Analysis process. The Study is the continuation of a series of HSE activities started in 2009.

D'Appolonia, in his long-term history of collaboration with Saipem, is developing since 2009 specialized Hazard Identification studies and Dropped Object Risk Analysis for the Saipem Pipeline J-Lay and S-Lay vessels fleet (Castoro 10, Castoro 6, CastorOne, FDS2, etc.).

D’Appolonia has finalized the Fire Prevention and Protection activities for the San Severo Combined Cycle Power Plant Project (CCPP), close to Foggia. The plant (by Ansaldo Energia) has now obtained the Italian Fire Brigade Positive judgement.

D'Appolonia has completed the Hazards identification (HAZID) and the Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies for the Offshore facilities (Deborah A & B platforms and sealines) of the Hewett Gas storage Project in the UK North Sea.

D’Appolonia has been awarded by Invensys Iberica a contract for supporting Invensys in the development of Hazop and SIL Assessment studies for the Formal Safety Assessment of the GALP SInes refinery in Portugal.

After the successful acceptance by the Military Administration of the advanced numerical models prepared by D’Appolonia to design a novel missile radome, the SYRADOME and PLASMADOME research projects entered Phase 2, focused on the implementation of the models.
